AI Ethics and Governance Certificate Templates
Give every learner who finishes your responsible AI, AI governance, or AI literacy course a verifiable AI ethics and governance certificate they can share. Pick a level, from Foundation to Certified, then add your logo, course topics, and dates.
Connect your LMS or import completions from a spreadsheet to issue a whole cohort at once. HR and L&D teams can use the same templates to keep a dated record of company-wide AI literacy training. Each certificate links to its own credential page, where employers, clients, and auditors can confirm who earned it and when.

FAQ about AI ethics and governance certificate templates
Answers to common questions from AI course providers, HR and L&D teams, and AI governance leads.
Yes. Every AI ethics and governance template here can be customized online on Certifier's free Starter plan, which includes up to 250 credentials a year, or downloaded as a Word file. The QR code and the "valid until" date need the Professional or Advanced plan, but on Starter each certificate still links to a credential page anyone can open.
An AI ethics certificate should include the learner's full name, the course name, the level, the topics covered, the issue date, and a unique credential ID. Add a signature from the person who runs the program. If learners need to renew, add a "valid until" or recertification date so anyone checking can see whether the certificate is still current.
No, the EU AI Act doesn't require AI literacy certificates. As amended by the Digital Omnibus on AI, Article 4 only asks providers and deployers to actively support their staff’s AI literacy development. A dated certificate for each person is a simple way to keep documented evidence of those measures, and a legal advisor can confirm your obligations.
Use one AI ethics and governance template per level, since each design already carries a level label: Foundation, Associate, Professional, Advanced Practitioner, and Certified. Issue each level as its own credential and pair it with the matching badge, so that learners can show their progress on LinkedIn.
On the Advanced plan, Pathways can group the levels into one learning path and issue one completion certificate when the learner finishes all levels.
Yes, learners can get an AI ethics and governance badge with the certificate when you attach both to the same credential. They receive both on one credential page and can add the badge to LinkedIn or their email signature.
Anyone can verify an AI governance certificate through its verification link, which opens the learner's credential page on Certifier. The page shows the issuer, the recipient, the issue date, the credential ID, and the expiry date if you set one. On the Professional and Advanced plans, the QR code on the certificate opens the same page.
