How Certifier integrates with Moodle
Certifier runs as a native plugin inside Moodle. Choose when the credential is issued: when a learner completes the entire course, or when they finish one specific activity you select, for example passing a key quiz, with an optional minimum grade.
For the course-completion route, you decide which activities a learner must finish, and Certifier issues credentials the moment the completion requirements are met.

Setup steps

Make sure you meet the requirements: Moodle 4.1 or newer, admin access, a published Credential Template, a Certifier API access token, a Moodle course, and a test student account.

In Certifier, create and publish the Credential Template you want to issue.

As a Moodle admin, add the Certifier plugin from the Moodle Plugin Directory and complete the database upgrade.

In Certifier, create an access token under Settings > Developers, then paste it into the plugin's API Key field to link Moodle to your workspace.

Open the Moodle course, turn on Edit mode, add a Certifier activity, and select the credential template learners should receive.

Choose Create + issue + send as the delivery mode and Course completion or selected activity as the trigger.

Enable completion tracking, confirm Moodle cron and ad hoc tasks are running, and test the flow with a learner account before going live.
