How Certifier integrates with Supabase
Certifier connects directly to your Supabase project with an API key — no sheets or third-party tool needed. Certifier simply tracks your table and turns each newly added row into a credential automatically.
You set the integration once: pick a credential design and map your table's columns to certificate fields — recipient name, email, date, and anything else you want to be featured on the credential. After the initial setup, each new row becomes a fully personalized, issued credential with no additional input.

Setup steps

In Supabase, create a clean table with a primary key column, a recipient name column, and a recipient email column, and add one real record to it.

In Certifier, design or choose the credential template you'll be issuing.

Go to Integrations tab, choose the Supabase template, and connect your project using its URL and API key.

Select the table you just created to watch, set the primary key as the order column, and map your columns to the credential's fields.

Frequently asked questions
No. Supabase connection is a part of Certifier’s native integrations. The native setup just asks for your Project URL and API key — no scripts, no custom endpoints. If you want more control over the trigger logic, Make connector is the route to look at instead.
At minimum, three columns:
- A primary key column
- A recipient name column
- A recipient email column
Skip either of the last two, or format the email wrong, and that row gets skipped.
Beyond the minimum, you can add dynamic attributes for anything else you want on the credential — exam score, mentor name, course title, completion date, whatever fits your program. Each one just needs its own column in the table, mapped to a field on your credential template.
Yes, the Supabase integration itself isn't gated behind a paid tier. The limitation you can run into is credential volume: the Starter plan includes 250 credentials a year, so if your table's row volume outpaces that, you'll need to move up a plan.
No. Recipients receive their credential via an email link — no sign-up, no account, no login required. From that link, they can access their certificate or badge anytime to download, share, or verify it.
Avoid changing established columns and rows. Certifier matches against the exact names and order set during connection — rename the project or table and the link breaks; move or insert a column and the field mapping breaks with it.
