No. Recipients do not need a Certifier account to claim their credentials. Each one gets an email link to their credential that opens in an accessible digital credential wallet. From there, the recipient can download the credential, share it, or verify its authenticity without contacting you or Certifier.
For a certificate or badge to be issued, two questions are required: one for the recipient name and one for their email. If either the name or the email is missing, the survey response is skipped and the credential is not sent. Beyond the core info, you can add any questions to fill additional fields on the credential, like a course title or date, and connect each to its spot during setup.
The moment you activate, Certifier may process every row already in the connected sheet and issue a credential for each one. To avoid issuing credentials for old or test responses by mistake, clear the sheet first: start with an empty survey and share it only once the automation is live.
