Certifier integrates with Smartsheet natively or through connectors like Zapier, giving you two workflow options for your automation needs.
With the native integration, each new Smartsheet row — such as an event registration — triggers Certifier to fill in and send a personalized certificate, badge, or credential directly to the qualifying recipient. Zapier supports additional triggers like updated rows and new comments, letting you issue credentials at specific workflow stages.
Both options give you the same credentialing features and tight lifecycle control with less manual admin.
You can design the certificate templates to use, set rules like expiration periods or scheduled delivery, and track recipient engagement from one Certifier dashboard.

Setup steps

In Smartsheet, prepare a new Table-view sheet with “Recipient Name” and “Recipient Email” columns to collect information.

In Certifier, go to Automations and choose the Smartsheet template.

Open the preconfigured “New Row Added” trigger and connect your Smartsheet account.

Select the sheet you prepared, then submit the trigger configuration.

Open the “Issue Credential” action tab, select your chosen Credential Template, then map recipient fields and optional attributes.

Save and activate the automation.
