Setup steps

In Smartsheet, prepare a new Table-view sheet with “Recipient Name” and “Recipient Email” columns to collect information.

Yes, you can connect any sheet to Certifier, but it’s best to use a new empty sheet for the native workflow when possible. Activating the workflow with existing rows can process those records and count them toward your usage.
If you need credentials for historical data, you can issue certificates in bulk from a spreadsheet before starting the ongoing automation.
It’s best to avoid moving or renaming Smartsheet columns for an already active workflow, as this can break your existing mappings and lead to errors when generating new certificates.
You can change the automation’s display name, but don’t edit its trigger, fields and attributes, or credential settings after activation. To make those changes, delete the automation and create a new one.
Changing a processed Smartsheet row won’t update the credential automatically. You also shouldn’t move or insert mapped sheet columns after setup, since those structural changes can break the connection.
If needed, you can make corrections externally through Certifier’s dashboard, where you update credential recipient information or expiry dates directly on the published certificate.
Whether Certifier replaces Document Builder depends on your workflow. Certifier is built to simplify digital certificate creation and management, and you can use it for various use cases, including warranties, training completions, and event participation.
