How to create certificates with logo using Certifier?

Creating a certificate design with logo can help you promote your brand and position yourself as a professional and credible organization. We will show you how to add a digital certificate logo in a few simple steps using a visual design builder by Certifier. 

Step 01: Sign up for Certifier and start designing amazing certificates

Sign up for a free Certifier account. It takes just a few minutes. Certifier provides a free plan that includes 250 credentials, +1,000 free templates, distribution, sharing, and tracking features.

Go to the Designs tab to start creating documents branded with your company logo. Here, you can choose to work on certificate templates or start a new design.

If you've already worked on certificate designs in the past, simply select the design you want to customize further. If not, create a new one, click the Create Design button, and choose a certificate.

Step 02: Choose and customize your template

Find the perfect certificate template for your brand in our template library. You will surely find something that matches your brand and personal style – we offer a range of templates for every use case.

Go to the Templates tab, browse through our selection, and use filters to narrow down your choices. With such a big certificate template collection, you don’t have to hire a professional designer to have a beautiful certificate.

Once you pick a design, start tweaking. Remove any graphic elements you don’t need with just a few clicks.

Most of the templates have a placement of a logo in the certificate. It’s a placeholder that indicates where your company logo can be placed. To create space for your own logo, remove the placeholder element by clicking Delete Element on the right-hand menu.

Step 03: Add your logo and personalize the design

Before you create a certificate with logo, ensure your logo is high quality and high resolution. You can add your logo in either JPG or PNG format. For the best results, we suggest using PNG with a transparent background, as a logo file with a solid background may clash with your document aesthetic.

Also, keep in mind the size of your logo – not too large or too small. Certifier accepts files up to 2MB.

Here are some tips for adding certificate logo image in the form of a checklist:

• Check the logo quality. Ensure your logo for certificate design is of high quality. A clear, high-resolution JPG or PNG file works best.

• Mind the size. The logo shouldn't be too big or too small. It needs to fit well within the design without overpowering other elements. Certifier accepts files up to 2MB in size.

• Use transparent backgrounds. If possible, use a digital certificate logo with a transparent background. This blends with the certificate design.

• Consider the placement. The placement of logo in certificate should be in a spot that is easily visible but not intrusive.

• Match the design theme. The certificate logo image’s style and color should match the overall design of the certificate. It should complement, not clash.

• Preview before finalizing. Always preview your custom certificate with the logo in place before finalizing it. This helps you see how everything looks together and make any necessary adjustments.

Once ready, upload your logo for the certificate design. Go to the Elements tab in the left-hand side menu and click Upload Image.

Where to put logo in certificate? 

Adjust the placement of the logo in the certificate so it’s visible, has good spacing, and is not next to the elements that draw attention. Common spots are the top corners or right in the center at the top. You want the digital certificate logo to capture the viewer's eyes.

If you used the template with the logo, the logo’s placeholder is already in the best spot possible, so just remove the placeholder, and upload your logo for certificate design.

Customize the design colors, fonts, and text to match your branding.

To achieve this, simply select the text you want to customize. Edit it by clicking the Edit button that will appear on top of the selected text. Once you’ve typed the text you want to include on the document, head to the font settings. From there, choose the font style, size, and color that match your branding. You can even add a custom background if you wish.

Step 04: Make it dynamic and ready to issue

Add recipient-specific details like names and grades to your certificates with logos using dynamic attributes. You can add recipient names, grades, course titles, a certificate QR code, certificate expiration dates, and more.

Choose the dynamic attributes you want to include in your credentials, and Certifier will automatically fill them with the corresponding recipient's data at the moment of issuing.

Step 05: Update anytime, even after a certificate with logo has been issued

Sometimes, you may realize you’ve made a mistake only after you have already issued your certificate. That’s why Certifier allows you to make more changes to your credentials even after sending them to your recipients. So, even after issuing, you can edit your finished certificate without resending the custom certificates to the recipients. 

For example, if you want to update the logo for the certificate design or you need to correct a typo, you can do it in the Designs tab. Click on the element you wish to change in the design canvas and use the editing options. You can edit the text, add icons, adjust the fonts, change colors, and resize, move, or rotate each graphic element as needed.
