Professional steel blue trauma-informed care completion certificate template

This free trauma-informed care completion certificate confirms that a learner finished your online course. It's built for e-learning providers and organizations that assign a trauma-informed care course to all staff, where certificates need to go out automatically as people complete it.

Navy bands frame the top and bottom of a white page, with thin light blue double rules down the sides. Your logo sits in a white circle on the top band.

A small light blue "Trauma-Informed Care" label sits above the large navy title "Certificate of Completion," followed by a short blue rule and the learner's name. Completion date and credential ID sit side by side, and two signature lines sit at the bottom. A navy medal with light blue ribbons reading "Completed 2026 TIC" hangs from the top right.

Connect your LMS or automate issuing with Zapier so a certificate goes out each time someone completes the course. Each learner gets a credential page with a verification link on every plan.

What is a trauma-informed care completion certificate?

A trauma-informed care completion certificate is a simple record that a person finished a trauma-informed care course on a specific date. Organizations use it to confirm that every staff member completed assigned training, and learners keep it as proof for current and future employers.

The design doesn't include an hours field by default, which suits short awareness courses. If you add hours, see the FAQ below on what you can and can't call them.

A completion certificate shows that someone finished the course, but it doesn't measure how well they apply what they learned.

This template is laid out on A4 landscape (29.7 x 21 cm). Sign up for a free Certifier account to connect your course.

What should a trauma-informed care completion certificate include?

For an online course, the essentials are the learner, the course, and the date.

Static fields

  • Provider block: Your logo and name on the top band (e.g., Brightpath Learning).
  • Course label and title: The topic and award type (e.g., Trauma-Informed Care, Certificate of Completion).
  • Medal: A navy medal with ribbons (e.g., Completed 2026 TIC). Update the year or text.
  • Signature lines: Two signers and roles (e.g., Grace Howard, Program Director, and Leo Martins, Lead Trainer).

Dynamic fields (automatically populated by Certifier)

  • Recipient name: The learner's full name (e.g., Olivia Brennan-Hargreaves).
  • Course description: What the learner developed (e.g., practical skills for recognizing trauma responses and responding with greater safety, empathy, and consistency).
  • Date completed: The date they finished (e.g., 27 September 2026).

Add or remove fields in Certifier's design builder.

How to issue trauma-informed care completion certificates automatically

  1. Set up the design once: Add your logo, course label, and signers. If you run several courses, duplicate the design and change the label for each.
  2. Connect your course platform: Use a native LMS integration or Zapier so a course completion sends the learner's name and email to Certifier.
  3. Let certificates go out on completion: Each learner receives an email with their certificate and verification link when the completion comes through.
  4. Check progress across teams: Use the Credential Repository to see who received, opened, and downloaded their certificate. It helps you spot who still needs to finish.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. You can customize the design on the free Starter plan, which allows up to 5 custom attributes. This template's custom fields (course description, plus contact hours if you add them) fit within that limit. The QR code needs the Professional or Advanced plan.

Yes. Only approved providers can award accredited CE, but an online course provider without approval can still show the hours a course takes. Add a "Contact Hours" or "Course Hours" field and leave out any CE approval language.

Yes. Connect your LMS through a native integration or use Zapier with platforms that don't have one. Each completion triggers a certificate for that learner.

Yes. Duplicate the design and change the course label and description for each course. Your logo and signers carry over, so each new course only needs new wording.

The learner shares their credential page link, or the employer scans the QR code on paid plans. The page shows the issuer, the learner, the completion date, and the credential ID.
